Prof. Pam Burnard

Professor of Arts, Creativities and Education in the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge.

Pam has extensive experience of the changes to music in HE.

Her work includes advocacy for the protection and advancement of music in the HE sector along with better understanding of the short and long-term impacts and overlap between the culture and creative industries, performing arts sector, and how technology and digital sectors can help shape career prospects for music graduates. She has represented NAMHE at national conferences, at BERA Creativity SIG meetings and within Westminster Education Fora. Her work on the NAMHE committee addresses key aspects of improving educational practice in Higher Music Education learning communities and seeking new means by which to expand and connect its members.
